Overview:

The goal of this format is to highlight the clinical relevance of neuroscience findings using the patient’s perspective as a structural element of the exercise. Each WTS is a companion to a Clinical Commentary or an NNCI video and is organized around answering an imagined patient’s questions about their illness, symptoms, treatment, or expected outcome/response from a neuroscience perspective. Participants role play answering the “patient’s” questions before and after reading a Clinical Commentary or watching a video. Time is reserved for discussing the key take home points from the Clinical Commentary/videos. Ample time is left for questions and for general discussion.

The intended audience is either faculty or trainees. The session length is 50-60 minutes in the session outline below but can be easily modified to 30 minutes.
